办理ITIN的华人移民，国税局表示，已在加快处理W-7申请表，办理的先后次序按照申请表收到的时间顺序，先收到的先办理，后收到的需要排队；根据10月12日更新的报告，目前正在办理今年6月第一周收到的W-7申请表。如果民众6月份以后递交申请表，还需耐心等待。

在等待期间，申请者不需要担心，也不需要致电国税局或联系当地IRS的办公室询问进展，国税局正在按照先来后到的顺序办理，并会主动联系和告知进度。国税局会通知申请者的ITIN号码，并会尽快通过邮寄的方式，退还民众申请时提交的原始文件。
